this ish has gone too far.
i’ve had people say that i was just being separatist, socialist, or, dare i say racist, when i said that the reason that people don’t like the President is because he’s Black. i’ve been told that i was behind the times, that we live in a post-Obama world, where there is no racism and no hatred for people of different sexual orientations and people don’t see color and unicorns and fairies a sugar plums fly rainbows through our windows.
bullshit. give me a break…
i have also had, ahem, “lively debates” with people who actually believe that this Tea Party Movement is based on some sort of concrete ideals. they believe that Obama is stealing their civil liberties and their guns. they believe that making healthcare available to ALL of their fellow Americans is going to harm us all in the end.
how patriotic of them…
and now, just recently on the steps of the Capitol, it all reared it’s ugly head just as the historical vote on healthcare was taking place. Representative John Lewis, D-Georgia, a Civil Rights icon and a man who has spent much of his life in service to his country and his constituents, was pelted with racial epithets as he reported to do his job on Capitol Hill by Tea Party protestesters Teabaggers. and it wasn’t just Rep. Lewis who was verbally assaulted; Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Missouri was also called a nigger as he reported for duty and anti-gay comments were shouted at Rep. Barney Frank, D-Massachusetts, who is openly gay.
and what’s worse is that, it seems to me, this story was GROSSLY under-reported. i heard nothing about this on Fox, MSNBC or any of my local news affiliates. there was no outcry on the covers of major newspapers.
and now, just within days of the vote, some idiots are calling for the assassination of President Obama on fcukin’ Twitter. TWITTER!!! Solomon “Solly” Forell and Jay Martin are supposedly both under FBI investigation for their ridiculous statements, but i haven’t seen anything 
about it on the news…
and somewhere in the mix, people are confusing this brand of fundamentalism as patriotic disobedience. the only problem is, the protester’s rhetoric is beginning to look dangerously like the infant stages of the very same fundamentalist mess we claim to be so against in other countries.
go figure…
from shots fired at a Democratic congressman’s campaign office to other violent acts around the country, these Teabaggers are getting more out of control by the day and i see and hear no real public outcry about the fact that these idiots are clearly perpetrating acts of treason on their own country. where was all this outrage at Bush and Cheyney? when it counted, these people sat on their asses and smiled at the Howdy Doody show that was the last 8 years in America.
and they said i was the one with my head up my ass…
so. if you agree with me, or you still believe me to be a fucktard, i suggest that you listen to my podcast, WWTF Radio, this Saturday March 27, @ 5:30PM EST when i discuss this mess and why i feel that we need more than just healthcare reform in this country, we need fucktard reform as well.
