And they were wondering why people were out here supporting Dorner… we live our lives on the wrong side of the blue line, a line he was once on both sides of. And for an ex-cop to have been humiliated by his own department, to be stripped of your dignity and your good name… for nothing more than standing up for someone… we understood Dorner because we know that on the other side of that blue line, we don’t exist.
At the charter school, I worked in the front office as an Administrative Assistant. I was responsible for each and every one of those 300+ babies, every day of the week. I was a friend, a disciplinarian, a mother a father… some of those kids actually called me Mommy, I never minded and honestly, their parents didn’t either because they knew I was like a mother to their kids when they weren’t at the school. I was looking out for them and I would protect them fiercely.

It’s an entire organization’s, nee a whole CITY’S sports organizations, undying disdain for their fans. there was an earthquake (or more accurately a tremor) in Philly today… personally, i was a little frightened… not particularly scared, because i thoroughly believe if it was my time to go, i’d be gone whether by the walls caving in on me, or choking on my bacon egg and cheese (which also hapened to me this morning… go figure).
but no one seems to listen to female sports fans. especially crazed ones who eat sleep and BREATHE their local sports teams. at least that seems to be the case when i put my two cents out there. just like when i predicted, during the PRESEASON of his rookie year, that DeSean Jackson (my Fantasy Football Husband™ team pick of the year) would be the most explosive player on the team, much less the league…

and that is, quite simply wut it comes down to. job performance. sure, we’ve improve EXPONENTIALLY since good ol’ Andy Reid took over the flight plans. but the issue is, with a QB who had his opportunity in Superbowl XXXIX and blew it, and an AMAZING running back who abused his body so bad to help us win that he has likely ended his career with the two concussions he suffered last season, it was time.
