Wow… I kinda want to say I didn’t see this coming, but… I did. TMZ is reporting that rapper and (YMCMB) Cash Money/Young Money‘s biggest artist Li’l Wayne is in a medically-induced coma in an L.A. hospital after suffering violent seizures since Tuesday. One guess as to what caused it… At this time he is surrounded [...]
Gun culture in America is insane. The fact that there are so many Americans who believe that guns solve problems is not only an extremely dangerous mindset, but also both sad and chilling. I live in a city where we routinely have an average of 250 – 300 murders due to gun violence a year. Even days before the school shooting in Newtown, two young men opened fire on a SEPTA train platform a few blocks from my home. The same day of the Connecticut shooting, a man shot his ex girlfriend and then himself inside a casino in Las Vegas and there was a riot at 22nd & Lehigh avenue where a girl was jumped and shots were fired.
I am not a mother, but this pain I can sympathize with no matter that detail. I ache for these parents and extended family because for 48 hours, Trayvon laid as a John Doe in a morgue. For two days, a family wondered and worried and waited. For a moment I strip race from it, and wish I could forever. I hope any reader who happens upon this post never has to feel being sick with worry over where your brother, cousin, or friend might be if unheard from for two whole days at the age of 17. And then to find out they have lain in a MORGUE, unclaimed and cold.
I. Can’t Right. Now… This one has torn me into little tiny unhealthy pieces… It is now reported that Whitney Houston, the GREATEST recording artist of my time, has passed away… I am speechless. As I try to find info on TMZ about her death, it seems the site has crashed, which is no surprise [...]
I wonder what Malcolm would think of life as a Black American today… Even with the great steps we’ve taken, there are so many aspects of our lives that I find disappointing; one of which being the use of the phrase “post-Obama world.” I still don’t even get what that even means… Racism is still just as steeped into our society as it ever was, it’s just had plastic surgery and gone underground, hidden in words like “Socialist” and, more hilariously, “Hawaiian”. Ooooohhh. I’m shaking in my boots.
Conrad Murray has relocated from his Houston, Texas home to Los Angeles this week in order to be ready when charges are filed. As of yet, Los Angeles prosecutors have not announced what those charges might be.
MJ is NOT alive people…
A video showing what APPEARS to be MJ getting out of the back of a coroner’s van was posted by German broadcaster RTL on YouTube for a day a week ago and received 880,000 hits. The broadcaster has since removed the video from YouTube, but I did a quick search for “MJ coroner video” and found it…
ok. this is not REALLY a surprise… but can we let the man REST??? i mean, we are gonna be embroiled in M.J. litigation until his kids have kids… smh… on Friday, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office ruled that MJ died at the hands of another, but whether criminal activity is involved, such as [...]
yeah, i’m late posting this, but i must give my respect. Adam Goldstein, AKA DJ AM, 36, was found dead of an apparent drug overdose in his New York apartment on Friday night…
DJ AM was a world-renowned DJ, playing high-end parties all over Hollywood and beyond. His career was surely boosted by the rumors of all the Hollywood ladies he has been linked to, including Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore.
According to the Miami Herald, Sam Ferguson, president of Don Diva Miami, was shot to death on Friday, August 14, when unknown assailants opened fire on his car as he was driving along the Florida Turnpike near Griffin Road.
